After having 150 coats delivered last October, there are 17 left! Many have been reduced to only £98- although these tend to be in smaller sizes. Even at £137- each they are without question the lowest price in the UK. Having visited Naples in early September to organise production of my Antonio Bellini clothing, two months later and it has finally arrived. The shelves are absolutely heaving with the most beautiful knitwear, shirts jackets, trousers and of course I still have over 100 coats remaining. On my countdown to retirement next year, I think to myself how lucky I was to find this beautiful road over 10 years ago. My previous three shops were all in shopping malls, which to be honest, gave me a feeling of depression by simply walking in. The Ipswich Marina is turning green!

How absolutely wonderful, this structure was built yesterday out of cardboard boxes held together with parcel tape, it was a reconstruction of one of Thomas Wolseys college gates. A real spectacle to see it being pulled down and then flattened by local children.

I know so many shops say limited stock to increase sales but in this situation it is absolutely true. All the coats have been delivered for this season which are selling fast. Still have over 100 remaining at £137- which is last year’s price, despite the 17 1/2% increase since last year. It is very important for me to do a lot of research, online and visiting other stores to see what they are selling and for how much. Yesterday I went to a large department store where they had all of the usual mass produced designer labels where apart from the staggeringly high price charged for these garments, trying to find the price of anything drove me to despair. The first display garment, no price to be found, then delving deeper. Eventually a label was found, I say a label, it was more like a book in at least 12 languages! Then in microscopic print the price! Why oh why every garment has to have the price hidden I will never know. Is it all a secret that only people who can afford these astronomical prices are allowed to see. Yesterday was the last day of a beautiful three-day festival in Alife. Si chiama, it is called, la festa della Madonna della grazia. An absolutely wonderful three day event where the locals all get together with live bands wonderful food culminating in a parade with a mass and then the grand firework display on Sunday evening which is always made more dramatic with some of the remnants of the fireworks landing extremely close to the audience, parts of the field being ignited Then a big rush to put the fires out. Only in Italy! ♥️🇮🇹
